Hody, Velké Bílovice: A Moravian Folk Festival

Hody is the traditional village feast of Moravia: costume, a raised pole, a parade and dancing in the square, led by the stárci and stárkas, the young men and women chosen to head it. In Velké Bílovice I documented my friend's niece as one of the two stárkas, from the fittings at her family's house through to the parade and the dancing over two days.
